Temporary Manual Transactions

a.k.a Future Known Transactions
In these exact cases where banks/plaid/MX are slow to update you should be able to manually add a transaction to DAS.
In this case, you can stay up to date and when DAS finally gets your transactions, it'll take the place of that manual transaction.
I'm thinking that those transactions would only stay in the app for 2 weeks. If it fails to get matched in DAS it'll reverse that transaction.
I want Plaid/MX to be the source of truth and don't want users to shoot themselves in the foot trying to add transactions that aren't seen via the bank (ex: cash transactions, tricks to force a different balance amount, etc)
Add option to edit user-facing datetime of a transaction

Yes this “matching” feature I used a lot in mvelopes and really miss it. If you’re trying to go the envelope budget route then u really need the temp transactions to keep yourself inline. Then once it clears the bank it allows u to match manually or setup auto matching. Please incorporate!

This would be amazing. It is something I have always wanted banks to do when we used to write more checks. i.e. enter the check online as written so it has a temporary marker until it comes through. Love it.

I need this so I can add in future payments on my Venmo credit card since it can’t be integrated with DAS Budget at the moment.

For the time being I’m getting around this by manually adding and removing a savings goal matching my venmo credit card balance.

I think this is a great and necessary addition. My bank is SO slow to move pending transactions to "posted", and then they only update Plaid once a day around noon. Since I am paid on Friday and some transactions won't post until the following Tuesday, I sometimes have to create fake transactions by moving money from budget buckets into a "hold" bucket so that everything will fund correctly on payday (not show 100% funded when they aren't, really)

Anthony: Probably don't need the "tip" field since when you put it in you should put the total it would settle at. At least that makes sense to me but who knows.
Anthony
Mark: depends. Pending txns don't always include the tip, so it'd be good to match pre/post-tip based on the info Plaid/MX receives.
