Fund fixed amount up to cap

Yes! To add to this I'd love to be able to set the monthly contribution target and the bucket cap to be different amounts.
Aka: Contribute up to $200 a month, up to a total bucket amount of $300 and then stop.
This would give a bit of a budgetary cushion for months where I spend a little over budget on groceries, which then refills on months I spend under budget.

Gavin Farrington I think this would be covered in https://dasbudget.canny.io/requests/p/create-customizable-recurrence-widget-for-buckets-and-funding-schedules
Just to make sure I'm 100% aligned with this request.. Is this the same as create a Goal in DAS and choosing the option to _not_ have the Goal repeat (the first recurrence option).
I think the only thing left would be for DAS to auto-calculate your end goal for you?
An example: Save $200 a payday until with a target amount of $1,000? Then let DAS figure out the due date and not have it repeating.

Anthony: Hmm... if it does get covered in that other feature, I don't quite see it.
Use-case for this idea: "I want a bucket that contains $500 of 'buffer' money, and whenever I'm below $500, I want to contribute $20/paycheck until I get to $500."
Under funding model 1 (from above,) if it's the last paycheck before the due date and I'm $100 short, DAS will grab $100 from my next paycheck (and likely prevent other buckets from fully funding.)
Under funding model 2, it will keep funding that bucket forever, even above $500.

Gavin Farrington: I see now! The example was perfect. It's not related to the linked feature 😅
I'm wondering how I could merge this and https://dasbudget.canny.io/requests/p/allow-for-static-contribution-amounts-in-buckets together. They're similar in the way of wanting a static
example $20 contribution

Anthony: How about providing some kind of "stop" condition? Normally the stop condition is a due date, but could we also have bucket status (full, not full) as a stop condition?
Anthony
Gavin Farrington: yeah, I think that'll work! If there's a target amount it'll stop funding when reached.
If not, it'll just keep funding forever 👍

Anthony: Perfect!
